As more and more parents from all walks of life are opting to home schooling, there are reasons that varies vastly, so a generalization cannot be made. Around the world, there are over 5% of children that are into home schooling and the numbers are increasing.

How can secular home schooling help these parents and kids?

This type of home schooling is basically left to the child’s interests based learning. These practices are supported by social community groups that have strong faith in religious beliefs. They just want to have a close bond with the children and share their values with these kids.

How to get the benefits of secular home schooling?

* It encourages the child to create a strong bond with them as they grow up.

* This type of home schooling practice allows the child to express freely his or her wants and aptitude in learning what he or she has the most interest in.

* Their traditional values and beliefs stay intact.

* They have safety and educational control.

Getting to know the disadvantages of secular home schooling.

* The fact that when you allow the child to choose what he or she wants to learn, he or she may end up with nothing. It is even more obvious if he or she do not enjoy reading or studying. This way he or she do not get the required knowledge to survive in the corporate world.

* Since it is homeschooling, the kid will not be able to deal with the outside world efficiently which may leads to confinement within the group. This will limit the child’s growth within the society.

* If one child can’t get his or her own ways into their day-to-day activities, the child may lost something he or she wanted to do since childhood.

* Children that attended secular home schooling education is like not having any read education. It is tough for them to find a proper job in the real world, even though they might have a diploma or college degree.

Although secular home schooling has many disadvantages than benefits that the child will realize them sooner or later. However, some parents still practice this form of education, I think the main reason is driven mainly by their beliefs and community group that they believe in.

Secular home schooling is often found in rural areas, and in not highly educated families with strong religious background. Having mentioned that there are more disadvantages than benefits, these parents still embark on this education thinking that they are giving them the very best in their lives by not exposing them to the outside world.

Getting in touch with nature is essential for us to grow mentally strong. We should never miss on that education is very important to us to understand the true value of life.

Mr. Cooper of Motorola caused quite a stir when back in 1973 he used his then 30 ounce portable phone to call one of his rivals at AT&T. Walking in the streets of New York he was making the first ever real cell phone call.

Not much later, in 1990, the customer base of the cell phone industry had already grown to a staggering one million members following the introduction of a second generation 16 ounce cell phone, seven years earlier.

With more cell phone subscribers today than the “old” land line telephones, the cell phone phenomena has impacted our society and we now have units that weigh in at less than 3 ounces!

From the age of 6 years old and over, every member of today’s families now own their very own cell phones. This is a technology that has truly swept through our world.

Unfortunately, cell phone records are not part and parcel of the public records psyche and thus are often used by unsavory characters such as online predators who through the internet try to lure our unsuspecting kids into giving them their cell phone numbers.

Media reports of dire consequences for kids who eventually meet these people unfortunately abound and parents all over the land are understandably concerned and eager to do what they can to prevent this from happening in the first place, and at the very least report these people by calling the police or FBI if it does.

Since cell phone companies do not release cell phone records as public record information, the process of discovering who is actually calling our kids can become extremely difficult. What can parents do in such circumstances?

It is possible to trace back the name and address of anyone who calls a cell phone by doing a reverse cell phone search and even though this is not a free service, at $14.95, it is unlikely to break the bank.
